John Day has full City Council; needs committee members

JOHN DAY – City Manager of John Day, Melissa Bethel, was in KJDY Studios on February 14th for an episode of Coffee Time. Bethel told listeners that the council is once again full, with the appointment of a new member last week:
“Vern Pifer, he actually ran for council. He was the one lone applicant that we got for the seat that was vacated. Council appointed him at the last meeting, so he took his seat and he’s now on the council. The City still desperately needs Budget Committee and Planning Commissioners.”
Bethel said anyone curious about serving on the Planning or Budget committees can swing by City Hall for more information.
