JOHN DAY – According to Red Cross Volunteer Coordinator Susan Sintay, the John Day Community had the most successful drive since she has been working in the position. She said it’s the best she’s seen in about 8-10 years, and around 30 to 40 drives. The lead technician said it was a 2-day record. The projected goal was 35 units, and they collected 51.
Sintay noted the flow was steady, no one was deferred and only a couple of people missed appointments. For information on future blood drives and to schedule an appointment, log on to redcrossblood.org.
