JD/CC Parks/Rec. special election Dec. 13th

JOHN DAY/CANYON CITY – A special election will be held for voters within the John Day/Canyon City Parks and Recreation District. A petition effort gathered the required number of signatures to recall Lisa Weigum from the JD/CC Parks and Rec Board. Ballots were mailed last week.
According to County Clerk Brenda Percy, the election will be held December 13th. The 24-Hour drop box outside the Jail and inside the courthouse are available to drop off ballots. She said if voters mail their ballot, the return envelope must be postmarked no later than December 13th. Only voters within the John Day/Canyon City Parks and Rec District will get a ballot.
