Jail time for man guilty of menacing in Grant County

CANYON CITY – A man will spend time in Grant County Jail on a menacing charge, according to court documents.
Chuck Wayne Briney, 32, pleaded guilty to one count of Menacing, committed in June of 2025. Briney was sentenced to 16 days in jail and placed on Bench Probation for 18 months with Special Conditions. Two counts were disposed with no conviction. The guilty plea was entered on January 22nd, 2026.
