Jail time and more for man after firing gun and fleeing scene

JOHN DAY – A man who was arrested in September after firing a gun at a local bar, fleeing the scene, and then crashing into other drivers has been sentenced in Grant County Circuit Court.

Eric Allen Lawhead, 37, pleaded guilty to charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Pointing a Firearm at Another, and two counts of Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver—Property Damage. Lawhead was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 36 months on Supervised Probation, and ordered to pay $750 in compensatory and criminal fines.

 Three counts were disposed with no conviction.
