Jail time and $1,000 fine on Grant County driving charge

CANYON CITY – According to Grant County Circuit Court documents, a 19-year-old will spend a couple of days in jail and pay a hefty fine on a driving charge.
Darren Dayne Cheyne, 19, pleaded guilty to Criminal Driving While Suspended or Revoked, occurring in June of this year. Cheyne was sentenced to 48 hours in the Grant County Jail and ordered to pay a $1,000 traffic fine. The guilty plea was entered on August 18th.
