Jail, probation for Grant County attempted assault conviction

CANYON CITY – A man will spend time in jail following an attempted assault conviction in Grant County Circuit Court. According to court documents, Troy Don Wells, 53, pleaded guilty to Attempt to Commit a Class B Felony – Assault in the Second Degree, committed in February of this year.

Wells was sentenced to 30 days in jail and placed on Supervised Probation for 36 months with special conditions to include substance abuse and anger management assessments, and no entry into Bare Bones Bar. Two counts were disposed with no conviction.
