BOARDMAN – The Boardman Police Department has arrested Armando Samora Barragan, 39, of Irrigon for sex crimes against a child. He was taken into custody Monday afternoon.
BPD Chief Rick Stokoe said that the arrest was the result of an investigation by the department’s criminal detective. Stokoe is not releasing any further details at this time, saying protecting the privacy of the victim is his main goal.
Samora Barragan is charged with first degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy, first-degree rape, and first-degree unlawful sexual penetration. He is also charged with a fugitive arrest warrant. The sex crimes are all Measure 11 charges with mandatory minimum sentences.
“Sex abuse is six years and three months,” Stokoe said. “Each of the others is eight years and four months.”
