IONE – The Ione School District is the picture of perfection. The high school received a 100 percent four-year graduation rate from the Oregon Department of Education.
That rate shows a dramatic jump. The year prior the four-year graduation rate was 77.8 percent. Ione Superintendent Tracey Johnson, who is also K-12 principal, credited its “laser-focus” on student attendance, encouraging students to be at school all day, every day, on time.
She added that the tightly-knit school community helps promote success.
“This accomplishment should be celebrated by the Ione community as a whole,” Johnson said. “Strong graduation rates reflect the time and dedication of our students, their families, and the school professionals who show up each day to support positive student outcomes. We could not do this without you and your steadfast commitment to education.”
