MALHEUR COUNTY – (Release from the Oregon Department of Transportation) Designs are being finalized to repair four interchange bridges in northeast Malheur County. This project aims to improve safety and increase the life of bridges on Interstate 84 at Exit 353/U.S. 30 (Farewell Bend Exit) and Exit 362/Moores Hollow Road.

This project will rebuild approaches and repair or replace damaged slopes under the bridges that are being undermined and collapsing from water and erosion.

Construction is scheduled for 2023. You can expect to see the following impacts:

  • Exit 353/U.S. 30 (Farewell Bend Exit), traffic will be switched to a single lane in each direction, using crossovers.
  • Exit 362/Moores Hollow Road, traffic will be switched to a single lane in each direction. All loads over 14 feet wide will be detoured around the bridges using the on/off interchange ramps.
