LA GRANDE – The Oregon Department of Transportation is beginning work on the McAlister Bridge over Interstate 84 in La Grande. Motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through June.
Work at this site is part of a larger project that includes six interstate bridges. Those projects include upgrades to bridge rails and repairing and sealing deck services. ODOT will announce more detailed information prior to beginning the work. The bridges involved are the North Second Street Bridge, the Upper Perry Bridge at Exit 256 eastbound, the on- and off-ramp bridges at Exit 259, and the OR 86 Bridge over I84 at Exit 302 in Baker.
Flaggers will be present. The crew work times are approximate and crews may work longer depending on specific tasks. TripCheck.com will have traffic impact updates during construction. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes if possible.
