BAKER CITY – Firefighters with the Baker City Fire Department spent some time recently gaining valuable experience on the capabilities of the departments ladder truck.
According to information from the department “While you see our engine out and about for most of our calls, off-duty and paid-part-time firefighters come in off shift to staff the truck and reserve engine for major incidents. Our ability to staff multiple apparatus is a benefit of being a “combination” department (both full-time and part-time staff)”
The Fire Department is anticipating a recruit academy in early 2022 and is encouraging anyone interested in joining their team to message them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/bcfireandrescue
