Injuries reported in Highway 11 crash

MILTON-FREEWATER – A crash on Highway 11 at West Crockett Road sent at least two people to St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla Sunday afternoon. The Oregon State Police cited Richard Cutright, 59, of Blackfoot, Idaho with driving under the influence of intoxicants.

The accident report indicates that Cutright was northbound in the turn lane on Highway 11 and failed to yield to a car driven by a 21-year-old man from Walla Walla. He was evaluated by medics at the scene and did not seek further care.

The occupants of Cutright’s car were transported by ground ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Walla Walla.

OSP did not release any information regarding the injuries, stating simply that the occupants of Cutright’s vehicle were transported. We are seeking more details.

The Oregon State Police were assisted at the scene by the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, Milton-Freewater Fire, East Umatilla County Fire & Rescue, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
