NYSSA — Around $5,000 worth of stolen tools and equipment from a construction site in Nyssa were recently recovered in Payette County, Idaho, according to Fruitland Police. Three individuals were arrested in connection to the incident—one being from Ontario. Read the Fruitland Police Department’s press release below:

“Yesterday, officers with the Fruitland Police Department responded to Gem State Pawn regarding a report of suspected stolen property. Upon arrival, officers made contact with four individuals attempting to pawn a large quantity of tools and other construction equipment.
Employees at Gem State Pawn had recognized indicators that the items may have been stolen and immediately contacted law enforcement. During the investigation, officers learned the tools and equipment had been stolen earlier that morning from a construction site in Nyssa.
As a result of the investigation, approximately $5,000 worth of tools and construction equipment were recovered and, after processing, were returned to their rightful owner. Narcotics were also seized and three individuals were arrested in connection to the incident.
The individuals were identified as Ebonie Sanders of Caldwell, Idaho; Ashley Manahan of Ontario, Oregon; and Joshua Longo of Arkansas. Charges are pending at this time and this investigation remains ongoing. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The Fruitland Police Department would like to thank the Payette Police Department, Payette County Sheriff’s Office, and Nyssa Police Department for their assistance with the investigation and extend special appreciation to the employees of Gem State Pawn, whose quick thinking and vigilance led to the recovery of stolen property and the arrests involved.”
