In 2024 Soroptimist International of La Grande returned over $55,000 to the community

LA GRANDE– Since 1986, Soroptimist International of La Grande (SILG) has hosted the annual Festival of Trees Gala in early December. In 2024 over $55,000 was returned to the community in the form of program support and grants to Union County organizations and businesses that support the Soroptimist mission of working to improve the lives of women and girls through social and economic change. SILG has changed their grant window to be January 1 to May 31^st.

On January 16, 2025, Soroptimist International of La Grande will host an event at The Barrel Room in Island City to educate potential recipients about their grant process, deadlines and the kinds of projects they fund.
