IMBLER – The Imbler School Board is seeking community feedback on the district’s four-day school week and the impacts the new schedule has had since implementation. The school board will be discussing the four-day school week schedule, and the possibility of a shift back to a four-and-a-half-day schedule, during its regular meeting on Tuesday, February 14.
For those unfamiliar, In February of 2023, the Imbler School Board officially voted to move forward with a new four-day school week, transitioning away from the long-standing four-and-a-half-day schedule. As part of the change, the 4-day school week schedule would be implemented via a two-year pilot program, encompassing the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years.
With this pilot implementation nearing its end, the question of whether the four-day school week will become permanent is up for debate. According to a recent post from the Imbler School District, the board hopes to decide on if the district will transition back to a four-and-a-half-day schedule during its March meeting.
Members of the Imbler School District community, including parents, staff, students, and other community members, can provide feedback through an online survey at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfd-zO6ud8i4IEuTR8QwONKcFh7zM-giWHD4S7CxeuSKRdR7A/viewform
The board will meet Tuesday, February 14 at 7:00 p.m. in room 1 of the Imbler High School.
