BAKER COUNTY – At around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, the Oregon State Police and Baker County Sheriff’s Office arrested Savannah Evelyn Seeley (22) on charges of DUII – Intoxicants and Controlled Substance, and Reckless Endangering Person. The arrest took place along Vandecar Rd near Durkee, close to I-84 MP-327 Westbound. According to the media log provided by OSP, Seeley may also be involved in an ongoing investigation into sex crime allegations in Oregon and Idaho. The full OSP description of the incident, as listed in the media log, is as follows:
“The Oregon State Police and the Baker County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to locate a vehicle occupied by two females. The female driver was reported by the female passenger as a possible intoxicated driver as well as being the suspect in a recent sexual assault. Law enforcement arrived on scene and observed the driver showing signs of intoxication. The Oregon State Police conducted a DUII investigation and ultimately arrested the female driver for the crime of DUII & Reckless Endangering Another Person.
The Baker County Sheriff’s Deputy took the initial statement from the female victim and determined the sex crimes occurred in Oregon and in Idaho. The female victim was transported to the Oregon State Police Office in Baker City, Oregon for follow-up by an Oregon State Police Detective. The suspect driver was transported by the Trooper to the Baker County Jail for further processing related to the DUII. While at the Jail the suspect driver was contacted by an Oregon State Police Detective relating to the sex crimes allegations. The investigation into the sex crimes allegations is on-going.”
