BAKER COUNTY – (Release from Idaho Power) IDACORP shareholders recently donated $25,000 to The Salvation Army, joining Idaho Power customer contributions of $167,000 for the 2020–21 Project Share season. This money provides energy-bill assistance to neighbors in need throughout southern Idaho and eastern Oregon.
Shareholders also contributed almost $17,000 to pay Salvation Army administrative costs for managing Project Share, ensuring 100% of customer donations help individuals and families.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Project Share. The Idaho Power program, which is administered by The Salvation Army, assists people experiencing hardships with their energy costs, including bills for electricity, natural gas, wood, propane, oil and coal.
“Every contribution to Project Share helps a local neighbor in need,” said Customer Relations & Energy Efficiency Senior Manager Theresa Drake. “Thank you to our customers who have donated over the past 40 years.”
