UPDATE: UMATILLA COUNTY – (Release from ODOT) I-84 east of Pendleton: I-84 westbound, between Exit 265 and Exit 224, is now open. The left lane remains closed near milepost 222 for clean-up. Be prepared to slow down and watch for crews and equipment in the area.

OR 204 (Tollgate Highway) west of Elgin: OR 204 is closed 3 miles west of Elgin due to a crash at milepost 32. There is currently no estimate for when the highway will reopen. Crews are working to clear the area and reopen as soon as possible. Avoid this area and use an alternate route. If you must travel, be prepared for delays and stick to main highways. UMATILLA COUNTY – Oregon Department of Transportation reports I-84 east of Pendleton is closed. A crash at milepost 222 on Cabbage Hill has closed the westbound lanes of I-84 between Exit 265 in La Grande and Exit 224, 8 miles east of Pendleton.

There is currently no estimate for when the highway will reopen, as a truck is blocking both lanes. Crews are working to clear the area and reopen I-84 as soon as possible. Please delay your travel. If you must travel, be prepared for delays and stick to main highways.
