I-84 EB closed Pendleton to La Grande for diesel cleanup

PENDLETON – Update as of 6:55am: According to ODOT the closure has been lifted. There is still an estimated delay of 2 hours or greater.

Eastbound Interstate 84 is closed between Pendleton and La Grande due to a crash.
A photo fromm the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) shows absorbent material in the eastbound lanes of I-84 soaking up spill diesel. They say they expect an extended closure lasting into early morning while crews work on clean-up.
The closure was first reported shortly at around 3:20 a.m.
The westbound lanes remain open at this time.
