ROAD CLOSURES- January 10

All closures have been lifted.

UPDATE -10:45 A.M.

I-84 Between Pendleton and La Grande is now open in both directions. OR-204 Tollgate is now open to all traffic. I-84 remains closed westbound between milepost 302 near Baker City and milepost 265 Near La Grande. I-84 also remains closed Westbound to all trucks and commercial motor vehicles between milepost 374 near Ontario and milepost 302 near Baker City. U.S. 30 Remains closed to non local traffic.

UPDATE – 10:20 A.M.

From ODOT: I-84 westbound lanes are closed to all traffic at Exit 302 in Baker City and closed to trucks at Exit 374 in Ontario due to no safe truck parking in Baker City or La Grande.
I-84 remains closed both directions between Exit 216 (7 miles east of Pendleton) and Exit 265 (4 miles east of La Grande). Low visibility caused by blowing and drifting snow, and multiple spun-out vehicles near milepost 246-247 westbound prompted the closure. Crews have removed spun out vehicles and re now working on clean up. Closure may continue several more hours. Travelers are encouraged to stay home and stay safe until conditions improve. ODOT are reporting I-84 is now closed in westbound between milepost 302 near Baker City and milepost 265 Near La Grande. I-84 is also closed both directions between Mile265 and milepost 216 near Pendleton. I-84 is also closed Westbound to all trucks and commercial motor vehicles between milepost 374 near Ontario and milepost 302 near Baker City. US-30 and OR-204 remain closed to all non local traffic.

Update as of 7:28am from ODOT: I-84 is closed in both directions between Exit 216 (7 miles east of Pendleton) and Exit 265 (4 miles east of La Grande) due to low visibility caused by blowing and drifting snow. Multiple vehicles spun out at milepost 246-247 westbound. Crews and tow are on site. Closure is expected to last several hours. Travelers are encouraged to stay home and stay safe until conditions improve

UPDATE- ODOT is now reporting that I-84 is closed both eastbound and westbound between Pendleton and La Grande.

OR204 is closed westbound. Local freight and passenger vehicles only. No I-84 access for commercial motor vehicles.
