Update as of 8:05am: ODOT: East. Ore.: I-84 eastbound is now open at milepost 188 (20 miles east of intersection with U.S. 30/ Columbia River Highway). A multiple vehicle crash closed the highway earlier this morning. Continue checking Tripcheck.com for current road conditions.
UPDATE as of 6:48am- ODOT: East. Ore.: I-84 is closed eastbound at milepost 188, (20 miles east of intersection with U.S. 30/ Columbia River Highway) due to a multiple vehicle crash. Crews and tows are onsite and working to open I-84 as soon as possible. Black ice and heavy fog are making travel difficult in this area. Avoid travel this morning if possible. If you do travel, be prepared for delays and winter weather, and stay on main highways. Closure is expected to last several hours.
