ISLAND CITY – The Oregon Department of Transportation will be chip sealing Hwy 237 (Cove Hwy) along 12 miles between Island City and Cove June 12-16. According to ODOT, this is just one of several chip seal projects that are scheduled for this year. Details on other chip seal projects will be released at a later date.
During the Cove Hwy Chip Seal Project, travelers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes, loose rock on the roadway, reduced speeds with lane closure, and pilot cars directing traffic during daytime and nighttime house.
The work is weather dependent so dates may change.
