Huntington no longer under evacuation notice for the Durkee Fire

BAKER COUNTY – (Information by Baker County Sheriff’s Office) Yesterday afternoon, a cold front with a small amount of rain moved into the area. After considering the weather conditions and level of fire activity, changes have been made to the evacuation levels throughout Baker County.

Multiple areas have been reduced to a Level 2 (BE SET) or are no longer under any evacuation level.

Most notably, evacuation levels for Huntington, portions of Rye Valley and Pleasant Valley have been removed.

We ask the public to continue to be vigilant. Weather patterns and fire activity may lead to an increase in evacuation levels. Continue to check this page for updates.
