Huntington man arrested for Assault IV

HUNTINGTON – (Release by the Baker County Sheriff’s Office) On February 20, 2021 at approximately 10:35 p.m., Baker County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a report of a domestic disturbance occurring at 560 Lincoln Street in Huntington, Oregon.

During the investigation, deputies determined that an argument involving David Anthony Hanks (31 yoa) and his wife occurred but was not criminal in nature. Information provided during the contact revealed that earlier in the evening, Hanks had driven to 445 Lincoln Street where his father-in-law, Robert James Brown (69 yoa), resides. As Hanks sat in his vehicle outside the residence, Brown came outside and hit Hanks several times in the face with his fist. Hanks suffered injuries as a result of this altercation.

Deputies made contact with Brown. He was arrested and charged with Assault IV (domestic) and lodged in the Baker County Jail.
