Hunting licenses suspended and more for game violations

CANYON CITY – Two men will get their hunting licenses suspended and more following conviction to game violations, according to Grant County Circuit Court documents. Robert Lee Rodriguez, 75, as well as Daniel Rodriguez, Sr., 52, both pleaded guilty to Taking, Angling, Hunting, or Trapping in Violation of a Wildlife Law or Rule. Daniel pleaded guilty to two counts, and Robert to one.

Each will have their hunting licenses suspended for three years. Robert Rodriguez was also fined $440. Daniel Rodriguez, Sr. was placed on Bench Probation for 12 months and ordered to pay a total of $4,000 in fines and compensation. The incident reportedly took place in November of last year.
