Humbolt Elementary to get new playground, greenhouse, and HVAC system

CANYON CITY – We reported recently on capital improvement projects in the works for Grant School District #3. Project Manager Aaron Lieuallen was on Coffee Time to discuss some of the work that is underway. Lieuallen said students at Humbolt Elementary school will notice some changes when they come back to school this fall:
“I think the big ones are going to be at Humbolt [Elementary]; we’re working on finishing up the HVAC system. The lower quad that’s been tough for the last few years is going to have heating and air conditioning starting out the schoolyear, so that’s a big one that’s been in the works for a few years now. And then, we’re working on a new playground and greenhouse that are going to be hopefully all installed and ready to go for the beginning of the schoolyear.”
