HPD responds to another shots-fired incident

HERMISTON – Hermiston police responded to a report of gunshots being heard early Saturday morning. It occurred in Hermiston. Police Chief Jason Edmiston said two people were shooting a gun in an alleyway.

Police arrested Horacio Flores Salas, 29, at the scene. He was charged with attempted unlawful use of a weapon and reckless endangering.

Officers then obtained surveillance video of the incident which led them to also issue a similar citation to Jesus Alvarez of Umatilla on Sunday. There were no injuries and Edmiston said that the video showed the suspects were firing in or toward the ground.
