HERMISTON – The Hermiston Police Department is undergoing a major remodeling project. The department posted on its Facebook page that the department will operate out of other spaces to provide continuing service to the community.
Public access to the police building is extremely limited. Those trying to reach an officer should call 541-567-5519 and select option 1. An officer will then be dispatched. The red phone at the front of the building is active at this time, but there is no lobby access for the time being.
HPD says that signs will be posted soon. Additional information will be released as the department works through the initial phase of work.
“In the meantime, be kind to those you meet, wear your coat – it’s cold outside, drive cautiously on frosty roads, and know we are still here if you need us,” the department stated on its post.
