HERMISTON – Hermiston police officers arrested two people Monday. Benjamin
Munoz, 45, was charged in two incidents while Brandie Lorenzo is charged in one.
Lorenzo was cited and released and Muniz was taken to Umatilla County Jail.

In one case, on Oct. 4, a Hermiston man reported his wife’s vehicle was stolen from
their apartment on East Elm Avenue. A police investigation alleges that Muniz played a
part in selling the stolen vehicle to another person.

The other incident dates back to police learning last week that a cold burglary had
occurred at Westcoast Digital Denture on West Hermiston Avenue. Chief Jason
Edmiston said that video footage was reviewed and the suspects were identified as
Muniz and Lorenzo.

Muniz is charged with two felonies: unauthorized use of a vehicle and second-degree
burglary. He also faces charges of misdemeanor second-degree theft, and second
degree criminal mischief (vandalism).
