Howard Street improvement project begins this month in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA – The full roadway and utility replacement project on Howard Street, between Juniper Street and Bryant Avenue, will begin later this month.

A mini roundabout will be built at the intersection of East Chestnut Street and Howard Street. Bicycle and pedestrian improvements will also be added in the roadway construction.

Before construction starts, the city will collaborate with Apollo’s construction team to plan the work and share a detailed schedule.

The estimated $4 million project is funded primarily by water and sewer rates.
