LA GRANDE – (Information provided by Grande Ronde Hospital) The mission of Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics is to provide a healing environment to protect and care for all those in need of our services. Our community deserves the peace of mind that comes with knowing that if you or a loved one needs medical care, we are here to provide that care just as we have for more than a century.

With our mission at the forefront of all we do, we have continued to fight the unrelenting COVID-19 pandemic, while also navigating a vaccine mandate surely to challenge even the strongest of relationships and beliefs. While we support compliance with Oregon’s COVID-19 vaccination requirement in order to continue our mission, we have also respected our employees’ right to make the choice of whether to vaccinate or not. We provided guidelines and policies to help our employees navigate that choice, including the process for exemptions, and have offered vaccine availability for those who chose to vaccinate. In spite of the uncertainty that led up to the October 18th deadline, we are grateful and humbled to share that more than 99% of our valued employees have chosen to stay and are in compliance with Oregon’s requirements for healthcare workers. The greatest majority of those are fully vaccinated.
