JOHN DAY – Hope 4 Paws: Grant County is a non-profit 501C(3) pet rescue program in Grant County. Board Vice Chair Chris Labhart recently informed KJDY’s Coffee Time listeners that so far, for the 2023 year, they have already helped with more animals than last year:

“As of yesterday, we’ve dealt with 413 animals… 290 cats, and 123 dogs. To give you kind of an idea, we spay and neuter a lot of those. We trap—it’s called ‘T-N-R’—trap, neuter and return. Right now, we’ve spent twenty thousand-plus dollars, and the year isn’t even over yet.”
