Honk-out Thursday as GU girls head to 1A Volleyball Championship tourney

JOHN DAY – Grant Union fans, get ready for a honk-out! The Lady Pros Volleyball Team are headed over to Redmond this Thursday afternoon for the OSAA State Championship quarterfinals, and the honk-out will begin at Grant Union High School at 4:30 p.m. The game will be Friday, November 3rd at Ridgeview High School beginning at 8am against Salem Academy.
Cami Copenhaver with the booster club says if you can’t make it out to the school this Thursday afternoon, folks along the downtown stretch are encouraged to step out of your businesses and wave the girls on to state. The winner of Friday’s game will go on to face the winner of Santiam and West Christian later that evening at 6:30 p.m. in the semifinal round. Follow updates at osaa.org.
