JEFFERSON COUNTY – Jefferson County Sheriff Jason Pollock reports that a man wanted for two counts of first-degree murder is now in custody. John Scott Raczykowski, 31, of Rufus was arrested by the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team on April 9 at a residence in Jefferson County.

The team was activated due to the nature of the alleged crimes. After a short standoff, the sheriff said the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Detectives with the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office in Washington are in the process of getting Raczykowski returned to their jurisdiction.

He is a suspect in a double homicide near Goldendale, Washington last month. Two people are believed to have been killed on a road north of Goldendale, and investigators found a second crime scene where the bodies of the deceased had been burned.

The victims were identified as Elisha Ann King, 34, and Jeremy Allen Wyatt, 35, from Yakima. Larry Kleven, 57, of Goldendale is already in police custody, charged with first-degree rendering criminal assistance and tampering with evidence in the murders.

The photo of the suspect was released when a search was mounted for him.
