What does a couple do a couple nights before you open another meat market? We sit on the couch and remember some of the worst food we ever made in our history together. We hadn’t been married long for Jake’s worst. It was an elk and feta ravioli. After watching Emeril, he put his all into it, and we still remember it

Mine was a catfish….gumbo? Frozen Catfish and every other ingredient you could think of. We tried a dose of it then took it to his mom’s house to share where it sat in a fridge on the back porch…for a while. We were still dating at the time. Good thing I made good tacos.

This story is probably not very good marketing for the store. But it requires some failures and experiments to really appreciate any successes. And more than anything, it’s fun to remember these times we had together
