Home is total loss after Friday morning fire

PENDLETON – Pendleton Fire & Ambulance responded to a fire Friday morning, resulting in the total loss of an abandoned house.

According to Pendleton Fire Chief Tony Pierotti his department received the call at 10:19 a.m. and four units responded to the house on 205 Southeast 16^th Street in Pendleton. He says upon their arrival the structure was “fully involved”.

The fire was under control by 10:37 a.m., but the structure was a total loss. Pierotti says no one was in the house at the time, and there were no injuries as a result of the fire. He says the cause is not yet known Assistant Fire Chief Valorie Tomren said that the house was abandoned.
