Holiday-themed events kick off weekend in Milton-Freewater and Walla Walla

MILTON-FREEWATER & WALLA WALLA – The community is invited to celebrate the holiday season with two events: the Christmas Magic event, which starts tonight (Friday) in Milton-Freewater and a tree lighting ceremony and lighted parade on Saturday in Walla Walla.

The Christmas Magic event in Milton-Freewater includes a festive parade tonight (Friday), starting at 6:30 p.m. The parade begins at Mac High School’s gathering place and concludes on North Main Street by the Valley Christian Center, featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Additionally, the Christmas Magic Market will be held at the Elks Lodge tomorrow (Saturday) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., offering a variety of vendors and an opportunity for photos with Santa.

Meantime, a 41-foot tree harvested by Walla Walla Parks and Recreation will be lit tomorrow (Saturday) at 5 p.m. at First and Main, featuring a choral group from Walla Walla High School.

The Holiday Parade of Lights follows at 6 p.m., and the Walla Walla Public Library will offer a warm spot for viewing the parade from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
