BAKER COUNTY – The Oregon Heritage Commission recently announced that the National Historic Baker Oregon Trail Interpretive Center has been awarded a grant worth $4,313 dollars through the Oregon Heritage Museum Grant Program, coinciding with a $1,787 dollar match. The funds will help complete a comprehensive Market Research Study.
The Oregon Trail Interpretive Center is one of twelve museums to be selected across the state to receive a combined $75,000 dollars during the latest grant cycle. Another local museum, the Elgin Museum and Historical Society, was also selected recently, receiving just under $5,000 dollars to digitize its historic newspaper archive.
