Highschool Scholarship & Education Fund Applications Now Open Through La Grande Soroptimist

LA GRANDE – (Information from Soroptimist International of La Grande) As a reminder, Soroptimist is currently accepting applications for their 2023 Scholarships and Education funds. High School students and alumni from the Union County area that apply have the opportunity to receive financial assistance in their post-secondary education. Currently open funds/scholarships and their application criteria, as listed by Soroptimist, are as follows:
EOU Senior Scholarship Funding: $5,000
- For Academic Year: 2023-2024
- Submission Due Date: Must be received by March 15, 2023
- Must be credited for Senior status for the three terms of the Educational Funding during the 2023-2024 academic year.
EOU Continuing Education Funding: $1,000 to $3,000
- For Academic Year: 2023-2024
- Submission Due Date: Must be received by March 15, 2023
- Must be credited for Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status the 2023-2024 academic year or in the case of Technical school – 2nd or 3rd year in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Union County High School Graduate Education Funding: $1,000 to $2,500
- For academic year: 2023-2024
- Submission Due Date: Must be received by March 15, 2023
- Must be attending a four-year institution or Technical School with plans on starting in the Fall. Preference will be given to those applicants attending Eastern Oregon University.
