Hermiston’s Jordan Minor wins Breakaway as champions crowned at 2026 Pendleton Round-Up

PENDLETON – The dust settled and victory laps were taken as the 116^th edition of the Pendleton Round-Up came to an end Saturday.

Hermiston’s Jordan Minor was the only local athlete to take home top honors, claiming her first Round-Up title in Breakaway Roping. She follows her cousin, Bailey Patterson, who won the event at last year’s Round-Up.

An anticipated matchup between current world All-Around leader Stetson Wright and The Black Tie in Saddle Bronc did not disappoint. The impressive ride set a new arena record of 92.5 points, leading Wright to the win in final round and the average.

Haven Meged of Miles City, Montana pocketed $16,580 over the weekend to secure All-Around cowboy at this year’s event. He finished sixth in average in Tie-Down Roping after setting the fastest time in the first round. He placed fifth in the average of Team Roping with heeler Cole Clemons of Okeechobee, Florida.

Justin Kimsey of Kennewick finished fourth in the average in Steer Wrestling. Michael Pederson of Hermiston tied for second in Tie-Down Roping. Michelle Williams of North Powder was fifth in Barrel Racing, while Jade Benevides of Touchet was seventh. Pendleton’s Trent Sorey was fourth in Steer Roping.
