Hermiston will honor area vets

HERMISTON — The city of Hermiston and American Legion Post No. 37 invite the public to a special Veterans Day Breakfast on Monday, Nov.11, at 8 a.m. at the Hermiston Community Center, 415 S. Highway 395.

This complimentary event is dedicated to honoring all veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. Guests will enjoy a delicious breakfast catered by The Pheasant Blue Collar Bar & Grill, along with a program and presentation of the colors led by Aaron Wetterling. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m.

Families can send in photos of local veterans to parksandrec@hermiston.gov today (Thursday) to be included in the presentation. RSVPs are encouraged. Please call 541-667-5018 to reserve your spot.

The Veterans Day Breakfast is organized by the Hermiston Parks & Recreation Department and sponsored by Rogers Toyota, Sherwin Williams, and PGE.

Veterans Day is a federal holiday recognizing American veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
