UPDATE 4/28/2026 2:18 P.M.: OSP has confirmed that the motorcycle found east of the crash scene belonged to Miller, but said they are still searching for the vehicle that struck him.
HERMISTON – A Hermiston man was killed Sunday morning in a hit and run crash on Interstate 84 near Hood River.
Oregon State Police said at around 5:58 a.m. Hunter Clay Miller, 24, was walking in the travel lane about two miles east of Hood River when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The road was impacted for around two and a half hours during the investigation.
A black Harley-Davidson motorcycle was found several miles east of the crash scene, but it is not yet known if the motorcycle was associated with Miller.
