PENDLETON – The Heritage Station Museum is getting ready to light up the night with Heritage Lights the first three Fridays and Saturdays of the month. The museum will stay open late on those nights. Admission is free.
Artisan Alley will feature vendors with a wide variety of wares and opens at 4 p.m. Then, at 5 p.m., the outdoor light exhibits will sparkle. The buildings at the museum are decorated, offering plenty of photo opportunities and elves will be hard at work in Santa’s workshop, also known as the signal house. There will also be a food truck on hand.
Reservations are not required. Special guests will show up, including Santa Claus and the Grinch. The guests and vendors will be different each weekend, and Heritage Station will announce who will be on hand via its Facebook page. The museum is open to visitors and the staff and volunteers have decorated inside, working hard not to detract from the exhibits.
As a special gift, admission to the museum is free the entire month of December.
