BAKER CITY – (Release from the Baker School District) The Baker School District Board has voted to approve the hiring of Heidi Stocks as Assistant Principal of South Baker Intermediate School and Coordinator of Auxiliary Programming beginning next school year. Ms. Stocks will transition from her current role within the District as K-6 MathInstructional Coach.
“Ms. Stocks has been such an asset to the District,” said South Baker Principal Phil Anderson. “I feel very fortunate that she’s chosen to join the team at South Baker in addition to continuing to provide service to the entire district when itcomes to auxiliary programming.”
Ms. Stocks grew up attending schools in Baker School District, starting in Haines and graduating from Baker HighSchool. Her first teaching job was as a math teacher at Baker High School, where she also served as Chair of the math department. Then, Ms. Stocks spent time as a math teacher, math tutor, and instructional designer at Baker Web Academy, where she also served as Chair of the math department and lead teacher for Eastern Oregon. Ms. Stocks and her husband are now raising their three children on the same cattle ranch where she grew up.
“I love this community,” said Ms. Stocks. “And I am so excited to serve our students in these new roles next year.”
