Heart of Grant County reports DV increases by 20% during the holidays

JOHN DAY โ€“ Heart of Grant County Advocate Elisha Nightingale was in the studio Wednesday, and highlighted some concerning statistics regarding domestic violence during the holiday season:

โ€œThe statistics are showing that domestic violence often is up twenty percent within the holiday season. You know, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Yearโ€™sโ€ฆso to see a twenty percent increase in domestic violence is unfortunate. Thatโ€™s a lot of stress and pain for families to go through.โ€
