JOHN DAY – Heart of Grant County Executive Director Beth Simonsen was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently, and explained the organization is looking for volunteers—and while there is always demand for trained advocates, there are other things folks can be doing to help survivors of domestic violence as well:
“We like to be out in the community, and especially with Domestic Violence Awareness Month coming up in October, I need the manpower to put it out there.”
Folks who’s like to volunteer their time can call the Heart of Grant County office at (541) 575-4335. Also, the Heart of Grant County 24-hour crisis hotline is available for anyone who may be experiencing domestic violence; call (541) 620-1348.
