Heart of Grant County discusses teen dating violence

JOHN DAY – February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Heart of Grant County Advocates Elisha Nightingale and Molly Cole were recently on an episode of KJDY’s Coffee Time to discuss teen dating and some of the dangers therein. Nightingale said plans are in the works to help educate Grant County’s teens:

“Molly and I are doing some research and trying to come up with the best development of a program for our outreach. You know, what is it that teens are going to relate to? What is it that’s going to connect with them? What’s going to get them to open up to an advocate? So, we’ve been doing a lot of research, trying to come up with a program to bring in to the schools and present at least at the student health centers.”
