BOARDMAN – The Morrow County Harvest Festival is tomorrow (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. outside at the Sage Center in Boardman. Vendors will be selling regionally produced agricultural goods and crafts.
There will be a pinewood derby for all ages at 10 a.m. Kits are available at the Sage Center store. People can begin registering for the derby at 10 a.m. and races will begin at 2 p.m. Also for what is described as a small donation to a local FFA chapter, people can fill a bag of traditionally grown potatoes or organic onions at the festival.
There are also mule-drawn wagon rides, face painting, a bouncy house, and pumpkin painting as part of the Kids’ Corner.
For those 21 and older, there is a spirits garden serving wine, beer, and cider. Hermiston’s Dallas Puzey will perform his own music as well as covering other songs.
The SAGE Center can be reached by taking Exit 164 off of Interstate 84. It’s at 101 Olson Road.
