Harney District Hospital’s 2023 Service Excellence Award winners

Harney County-Please join Harney District Hospital in congratulating the winners of Harney District Hospital’s 2023 Service Excellence Award. This peer-nominated award is the highest honor that a Harney County Health District employee can receive.

This year’s winners are Chief Nursing Officer Elaine Wulff and Certified Nursing Assistant Theresa Craig.

Here is what Elaine’s nominator had to say about her:

“Elaine is a great asset to our hospital and has given so much of her time to making it a better place for patients and staff. How many chief nursing officers do you know who work out on the floor as much as she does? I don’t know any! We are extremely blessed to have such an amazing, gifted, dedicated, and hardworking person at our hospital.”

This is what Theresa’s nominators said about her:

“Theresa is an awesome worker and team player. She is good with her patients and provides quality care. She is a self-starter and doesn’t wait for direction to get things done. She just sees things that need to be done and takes care of them! When she has extra time on her hands, she does tasks to help the Environmental Services and Materials departments — such as cleaning, taking out laundry and garbage, and restocking supplies. She sets a great example for her coworkers and is appreciated by many, even those who work outside of her department.”

Harney District Hospital would like to take this opportunity to thank Elaine and Theresa for going above and beyond for their patients, staff and the community. They both truly exemplify excellence in service.
